State aid for leasing a new electric car on a lease of at least three years.

How the support is paid

Standard support · Base category

Up to 6,500 EUR per vehicle

Cars that meet the vehicle criteria of the rules.

Standard support · European-production category

Up to 9,000 EUR per vehicle

Replaces the base category for cars listed as meeting the European-production criteria.

Conditional supplement · Motor premium

500 EUR per vehicle

Added if the electric motor is made in the European Economic Area.

Per vehicle: the lower of the ceiling and 29% of the acquisition cost.

Acquisition cost: including tax, excluding options, including the battery cost where it is rented.

Only one of these applies to a car. The amounts are never added together.

The amount depends on the car; the aid is not paid to you in cash.

Deducted from the first rent, advanced by the dealer or lessor

Who this support is for

Adults in work on a modest income who travel far for work and lease a qualifying new electric car; conditions apply.
